A huge coral wall develops a few meters underwater just in front of this sparkling black-sand beach. It is a top snorkeling spot to encounter Caribbean marine life such as parrotfish and sea turtles.

Nestled in the deep valley between the two Pitons, this beautiful white-sand beach offers world-class snorkeling in clear water along the coral reefs at the foot of Petit Piton.
UV exposure is strong, so using reef-safe sunscreen that is harmless to coral is recommended.

This natural geothermal hot-spring waterfall is in the forest at the foot of Petit Piton. Warm water at about 35°C, heated by volcanic energy, flows down a 9 m cliff and is good for relaxing.

This is the world's only drive-in volcanic area, where visitors can drive into the crater, see sulfurous fumaroles emitting steam, and bathe in natural mineral volcanic mud.
The black minerals in the volcanic mud may stain swimwear, so you must wear dark-colored swimwear and use a dedicated towel.

This gentle 45-minute ecological trail is operated by the local Indigenous community. From the summit lookout called 'Stairway to Heaven,' visitors can take in a panoramic view of both Pitons and the Caribbean Sea.

This 250-year-old organic cacao farm has a jungle trail through tropical fruit and cacao trees, where visitors can watch a traditional cacao-drying dance demonstration called Cocoa-rina.

The oldest town in St. Lucia and the island’s former French colonial capital, Soufrière was founded by the French in 1746 and named for its proximity to the volcano of the same name. The wharf is the center of activity in this sleepy town (population, 9,000), particularly when a cruise ship anchors in pretty Soufrière Bay. French colonial influences are evident in the second-story verandahs, gingerbread trim, and other appointments of the wooden buildings that surround the market square. The market building itself is decorated with colorful murals. Soufrière, the site of much of St. Lucia’s renowned natural beauty, is the destination of most sightseeing trips. This is where you can get up close to the iconic Pitons and visit colonial capital of St. Lucia, with its "drive-in" volcano, botanical gardens, working plantations, waterfalls, and countless other examples of the natural beauty for which St. Lucia is deservedly famous.
