This is a place of remembrance for a tragic history, so respectful clothing and quiet behavior are required; renting a Korean audio guide is strongly recommended.

Built in 1866 by King Norodom, this is the official residence of the Cambodian king. The ornate Khemarin Throne Hall, with its golden, traditional Khmer multi-tiered roof, and its gardens are well preserved.
Entry is strictly prohibited in clothing that leaves the shoulders or knees uncovered, such as sleeveless tops, shorts, or short skirts.

This museum, housed in red terracotta buildings in traditional Khmer style around a courtyard pond garden, holds outstanding ancient Khmer Hindu and Buddhist sculptures from the 6th to 14th centuries, excavated at sites including Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

This Buddhist temple stands on a 27-meter hill built by a woman named Penh in 1372 to house four Buddha statues that had drifted down the river. The sacred site gave Phnom Penh—'Penh's Hill'—its name.

This royal temple is named for the more than 5,000 silver tiles covering its floor. It houses a French Baccarat crystal Emerald Buddha and a gold Buddha statue set with 9,584 diamonds.
Admission is included with the Royal Palace ticket, and photography inside the temple is prohibited.

Built in 1958 to commemorate independence from France, this 37-meter reddish-brown monument was designed by architect Vann Molyvann in the shape of an Angkor temple lotus bud. It is especially beautiful when illuminated at night.
